Family Farm Tour at Glynwood!

Glynwood is home to all kinds of animals—cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, horses and a donkey—as well as pastures, vegetable and flower gardens and a small orchard. These one-hour sensory tours will have children and their caregivers seeing, tasting, touching, hearing and smelling all the seasonal wonders of the farm. Specific tour activities may include:
- Sampling what’s growing in our vegetable gardens
- Feeding our animals
- Meeting our honeybees and tasting their honey
- Foraging for wild edibles (in season)
Tours will be led by children’s educator Barbara Sarbin, Director of Educational Programs for Something Good in the World, a nonprofit that specializes in farm-based education for school-aged children.
The Family Farm Tour program is designed for children of all ages. All children must attend with caregivers. Purchasing tickets in advance is required as space is limited. Tours meet in the orchard across from our main office.
